Each day, resources of all types—for preschoolers through high schoolers and beyond—are being sought out by diligent homeschooling parents.

Homeschooling parents are constantly on the lookout for the best tools with which to instruct their children, including materials that focus on core subjects, such as math, science, language arts, and social studies, are in huge demand, along with curricula that focus on STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). Literature and physical education are two additional areas of instruction for which homeschoolers diligently pursue creative, effective resources for use in their homeschool. Educational Resources in both digital and print formats are highly desirable. They are also seeking out manipulatives; specialized enrichment products for students with special needs or interests; and online classes and basic technology equipment such as laptops, tablets, and computers.

What is the winning recipe to advertise to homeschool families? What will make your advertisement stand out from all the others? These ideas you may help increase your click-through rate (CTR) as well as help improve ROI.

Relevancy! Homeschooling families are searching for products - use your potential buyers' most popular search query keywords in your ad titles and text.

Describe why your product is different. This is super basic and is a MUST DO! Why do homeschool parents want your product instead of someone else’s? Does it solve a problem? Does it help save time or money? Or, does it have unique features or qualities?

Communicate! Use words, imagery and a writing tone that are likely to attract homeschool parents.

Speak directly to your potential buyers. Use the words "you" or "your" in your ads as if you are having a conversation with them.

Avoid a conflicting message. Use succinct and exact wording to help attract your potential buyers. If your products are expensive, then avoid words like discount, bargain, and cheap.

Be specific. Be clear. Avoid disappointment. Avoid vague messaging like “huge discounts” and simply specify a percentage off.

Include a call to action. Again, this is super basic. You simply must do this. Give homeschooling parents a reason to click your ad right now. Offer them a trial or free sample or a chance to enter a contest. Offer them a brochure or consultation or an ebook. There are so many things! Subscribe to a newsletter or take advantage of a time-sensitive discount.

Avoid seeming tricky or misleading to get people to your website. Offer relevant and honest information to attract potential buyers. Featuring the price in your ad is full disclosure – most will appreciate it. This will help you attract those leads that convert.

Above all; less is more. Keep it short. Use small amounts of highly focused keywording and a strong call to action to cause potential buyers to click through to your website. There; you will have already done a great job filling in all the rest of what they need to know to close the sale.
